Maternity/Family Session in the Hills of San Juan Bautista | Bay Area Family Photographer

This is one of my long time families that I’ve been working with for years. We seriously have a blast whenever we get to shoot together too! They had the great idea to go to the top of one of those golden hills that surround San Juan Bautista and that is just what we did. Side note, it’s literally one of my dreams to buy one of these golden hills, sprinkled with oak trees, and build my dream family home on it. I mean look at these views!? But living a mile from the beach in house we’re getting to make our own doesn’t stink either so no complaints.

Anyway, this shoot was so cool! The wind was at 17 knots which is enough to blow your hair back, a lot. But damn did this mama rock it!!! I’ll stop here and just let you get to it so you can see for yourself. I love how this session turned out!

Boho Elopement In The Redwoods | Barn At River House

This was such a fun styled shoot to plan at the barn at river house with some amazing vendors! We all worked for the whole day to make it happen and the results were stunning! We wanted a warm, dark, romantic vibe and I would say we nailed it! Everything was just incredible. I still look at these images and pinch myself that we created this whole set up!

I made the dress from two large vintage table clothes and all the brides jewelry was sourced from Laura at Vagabond vintage.

Venue: River House

Floral: Amy West Floral

Coordination: Wedding Connection

Design/Styling: Vagabond Vintage

Jamie + Roger | Roaring Camp Wedding | Santa Cruz Wedding Photographer

This was such a fun wedding to shoot! Jamie and Roger were just the sweetest and their wedding party and family were just as awesome! From one of Jamie’s bridemaids singing the song for their first dance (she killed it), to the amazing catering from Mijo’s, to the best DJ around, this wedding was incredible from start to finish! This was the only wedding I’ve ever shot at Roaring Camp that wasn’t in the redwood grove that the train usually takes us up to but it was so beautiful in the barn the way they did it. I totally loved it! But, without further ado, here’s a little of Jamie and Roger’s wedding day.

Sierra and James Welcome Baby! | Introducing the Darker side of BLP!

These photos are going to look a little different then my other stuff and I hope y’all love it! I’ve been wanting to get into the darker/moodier feel of editing for awhile and I’m loving it! I still offer my brighter style but will be adding this editing/shooting style to my offerings as well. I can’t wait to post more shoots with this feel here so keep an eye out!

I was totally over the moon excited when Sierra said she wanted darker/moodier editing style for these! I had the honor of photographing Sierra and James on their wedding day and the honor of getting to photograph this special session too! Their first maternity session! I’ll get to photograph them again in a few weeks as well now that baby girl is here but for now here is their gorgeous maternity sessions in Nisene Marks.

Also, styling was done by me. I have a small client closet but these are a few of the gowns I offer. That white Fillyboo gown is everything and I can’t wait to bring it out again one of these days!

Melinda + Robert | A Sweet Beach Elopement | Santa Cruz Wedding Photographer

Melinda and Robert had the sweetest elopement up HWY 1, surrounded by their loved ones. Robert’s mom officiated the ceremony and Melinda’s best friend fluffed her gorgeous train every time it needed it.

These two came all the way from Arizona to get married on our sandy shores here in the bay as it used to be Robert’s old stomping ground. They met at work and the rest is history. It was such a treat to get to document these two as they joined their lives together.
