A Day At The Beach: Film

This week has been awesome! My husband Mike took most of the week off for his Birthday and we’ve been having a really rad time. We live 2 miles away from the beach but barely over go there and get out of the car. So now that we have some spare time for a couple days, we thought taking advantage of the almost empty weekday beaches would be a good idea. And it was. Books, comics, snacks, beach chairs, and a film camera. It seriously couldn’t have been more beautiful, relaxing, and  soothing. I love living by the beach and I’m reminded why I could never go away from it.

Adam + Amanda: A sweet Santa Cruz wedding -

Adam and Amanda had such an awesome wedding! I was seriously having so much fun that I didn’t want to leave by the end of the night (yes, the celebration went on and on)! And Adam and Amanda were so cool to hang out with to top it off. Definitely one of the funnest couples I had last year. And their wedding party was awesome too!

They were married in the cutest little church that I actually drive by quite often. A few months before they contacted me I started to fall in love with this little church. It is the quaintest little chapel you have ever seen with beautiful stain glass windows (as you’ll see below). It. Was. Just. Too. Flippin. CUTE! When I had the wedding consultation with Amanda and Adam and I heard that they were getting married there my tummy did a little cartwheel (and I’m sure I had a big, nerdy, excited grin on my face)!

Anyway, I was so happy that I could be there to photograph this couple on their wedding day. It was so much fun!

Sara + Seth – A Desert Wedding

When I heard my friend Sara was getting hitched I was over the moon! Sara and her (now) huby Seth are such a great couple! I’m so happy and thankful when my close girl friends find themselves a good guy to call their husband’s. I wasn’t just excited to photograph her wedding, but also to fly out to New Mexico where the wedding was happening, and have a mini reunion of some of our closest friends! It was so amazing there! New Mexico has the best clouds I have ever seen. And the scenery… Breath taking. One of the cool things about their wedding is that it had a slight Tim Burton theme to it!

They were married at Seth’s parent’s house surrounded by their close friends and family. It was raining on and off but the sky opened up for their ceremony and the rest of the day stayed pretty clear. I was honored to be there and capture their wedding day for them. I <3 them mucho!

Joe + Marissa

While I was out photographing a friends wedding in NM, my friend Sara (the bride) ask me if I would take her brother Joe and his then fiance aside (they’re now married) and take a couple pictures of them. I gladly said yes because they are such a cute couple and Marissa is absolutely gorgeous! I was trying to find reasons to photograph her at the wedding without being too in her face so I was so happy Sara asked me to pull them aside for bit. I think we were maybe out there for 15 to 20 minutes. This is what we got.
